Folk dance refers to the popular dance styles passed down among the majority Han ethnicity, like the Mongolia, Yang Ge, ribbon, and handkerchief dances. The material is based on 56 folk & ethnic dances, taking into consideration different stages of mental and physical development of students.

We promote higher levels of teaching and performing, stimulate new dance creations, and build dance development.

We help students to pass and get certified in the Chinese Folk & Ethnic Dance Grade Test.

Our mission is to carry forward the art of Chinese traditional dance.

Ms. Ying Shi graduated from Beijing Dance Academy and moved to New York in 2012. She is one of the most esteemed Chinese Dance teacher in the Great New York area. As an experienced professional dancer, Ms. Shi has performed on many big stages in the US. She is also a great teacher. She taught in K-12 schools in the NY/NJ area. She has taught hundreds of students and has more than 25 years of teaching experience in running Chinese traditional dance and folk dance programs for both kids and adults.

Obtained the First Place in 2017-2018 Taoli Internation Dance Competition, Platinum Award winner, Judge's Special Award winner
Ms. Song excels in Chinese Folk dance, Classical Dance. She actively performs dance in many theaters and has been invited to perform at the Lincoln Center in NYC for a number of times. Ms. Song has years of experience in dance education, and she has inspired and trained many young dancers.
